You only need a few simple ingredients to make this sweet treat, and chances are, you already have them at home.

  • Fresh apples (sliced thin): Provides fiber, natural sweetness, and crunch. Use any variety you like! My favorite kind of apples are honeycrisp apples or fuji apples for this delicious snack. You can use whatever variety of apples you like best!

  • Drizzly peanut butter: Adds protein, healthy fats, and flavor. If your peanut butter isn’t drizzly, you can melt it for easier drizzling.

  • Dark chocolate chips: A touch of antioxidant-rich sweetness that pairs perfectly with apples and peanut butter. I like this brand or this brand for health conscious options!

Optional Toppings

  • Chopped nuts: Adds crunch and extra healthy fats.
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes: Brings a subtle sweetness and chewy texture.
  • Pepitas or pumpkin seeds: For added fiber, vitamins and minerals, and a satisfying crunch.

How To Make Apple Nachos

Step One: Prep the Apple Base

Slice the apple into thin slices. Arrange the sliced apples in a single layer on a plate or shallow bowl. If you are making a bigger batch, use a large platter.

Step Two: Drizzle the Melted Peanut Butter

If your peanut butter is not already drizzly, melt it in the microwave in a small bowl in 15–20 second intervals until smooth. Drizzle over the apples.

Step Three: Melt and Drizzle the Chocolate

Combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a separate bowl that is microwave-safe. Microwave in 15–20 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the apple slices.

Step Four: Add Toppings

Finish with a sprinkle of finely chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or pepitas. Enjoy immediately!
