Are Grüns Gummies Worth It? A Dietitian’s Review 2025

If you’re like me, you’ve probably seen Grüns Gummies pop up on your social media feed as you scroll through Instagram or TikTok.

People are raving over these cute little gummy bears. But can they really transform your health? Or are they just a waste of money?

As a registered dietitian, I get asked about products like this all the time. This blog post will dive into this product, its ingredients, what the science behind it actually says, and my review on whether you should jump on the Grüns gummies bandwagon.

What Are Grüns Daily Gummies?

Grüns Daily Gummies are a dietary supplement made by the US-based company Grüns. These gummies contain over 60 ingredients including whole foods (fruits and vegetables), vitamins, minerals, super mushrooms, antioxidants, adaptogens, herbs, and gut healthy prebiotics.

They are shaped like gummy bears and are available in two options: a low sugar version and a sugar-free version. Each version is sold in convenient single serving packs that contain the recommended daily serving size of 8 gummy vitamins.

Grüns Gummies Health Claims

The Grüns website claims that modern living leaves our bodies deficient and that the Grüns gummies are the first smart gummy that fills the gaps.

It claims that 92% of people are deficient in critical nutrition for our body, mind, and immunity to thrive. It also claims that 74% of people suffer from gut issues like bloat, indigestion, and abdominal pains. Grüns claims that the Grüns gummies can solve both of these problems.

The Grüns website also indicates that their gummies can transform your health including:

  • Gut Health: prebiotics feed good bacteria to boost nutrient absorption and digestion
  • Immunity: immunity and stress relief from vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, antioxidants, and adaptogens
  • Energy & Body: support recovery, strength, weight management, and metabolism
  • Brain Health: thiamin, folate, and mushrooms support clarity and brain health

Gummy vitamins have become more popular in recent years, but let’s take a closer look at what’s actually in the Grüns Gummies.

What’s In Grüns Gummies?

The Grüns Daily Gummies contain a long list of ingredients. Grüns essentially groups their ingredients into different categories:

  • Whole food vegetables
  • Whole food fruits
  • Vitamins and minerals
  • Super mushrooms
  • Antioxidants
  • Adaptogens
  • Gut health prebiotics

Let’s take a look at the breakdown of these ingredient categories.

1. Whole Food Fruits & Vegetables

Grüns gummies contain a variety of whole food fruits and vegetables in their “Core Nutrients Blend”. Apple, blueberry, raspberry, goji, strawberry, tomato, kale, spinach, broccoli, and cabbage are just some of the ingredients in these gummies.

2. Vitamins & Minerals

In these gummies, you’ll find a variety of different vitamins such as vitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K. You’ll also find a plethora of different minerals such as chromium, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium, iron, and zinc

Vitamins and minerals are naturally found in certain foods and are essential for supporting various bodily functions such as immune function, brain health, bone strength, and hormone health.

The nutrient forms used in the Grüns gummies appear to be high quality forms, including methylated B vitamins such as methylated folate and methylcobalamin which are well-absorbed by the body.

The vitamin and mineral profile in these gummies appears to most resemble a standard multivitamin. Of note though, these gummies are not equivalent to prenatal supplements and should not be substituted for prenatal vitamins for anyone who is pregnant or trying to conceive

3. Super Mushrooms

Grüns gummies contain organic shiitake mushroom powder. Shiitake mushrooms are rich in compounds such as lentinans, which may help to protect against cell damage, boost the immune system and white blood cell production to fight viruses and infection, protect against and fight cancer, and lower cholesterol levels.

If you’re interested in the benefits of mushrooms, Grüns has a mushroom gummy. I’d  recommend reading this post: Nütrops Mushroom Gummies: A Dietitian’s Review.

4. Antioxidants

Grüns boasts that their gummies contain antioxidants, which are powerful compounds that fight free radicals and lower inflammation. Aside from the standard vitamins and minerals that are considered antioxidants, such as vitamin C and zinc, the gummies also contain antioxidant-rich ingredients such as spirulina, wheatgrass, chlorella, maqui, acerola, acai, and goji.

5. Adaptogens

Adaptogens are natural compounds found in plants and herbs that help our bodies manage stress and maintain homeostasis. The Grüns Daily gummies contain adaptogenic ingredients such as astragalus, chlorella, and spirulina.

6. Gut Health Prebiotics

Grüns focus a lot on its ability to improve, or even solve, your digestive issues such as bloating, indigestion, and abdominal pains. Research continues to prove that a healthy gut is linked to a lower risk of certain medical conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It’s also linked to just better overall health.

Grüns gummies contain certain ingredients, such as inulin and pectin, that act as prebiotics. You may have heard of probiotics before…aka the good bacteria that live in your digestive tract. Well, prebiotics are non-digestible fibers that act as the food source for the probiotics.

The USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that adults eat 14 grams of fiber per 1000 calories of food. That typically equates to a daily fiber goal of 25 grams of fiber per day for women and 38 grams of fiber for men.

Most American adults only get 10 to 15 grams of fiber per day, which is far short of the recommendations. There’s 6 grams of prebiotic fiber in a daily serving of Grüns gummies, which is a good chunk of fiber at one time considering how much most people get in a day.

While these prebiotics can help to improve your gut health, the downside is that they can be aggressive for some peoples’ digestive tracts. Bloating, gas, abdominal pain and diarrhea are common for some people (1).

What’s In Grüns Gummies: The Caveat

Here’s the kicker though – aside from the listed vitamin and minerals amounts, we actually have no idea how much of the other ingredients are actually in the Grüns Daily Gummies.

That’s because most of the ingredients are included in Grüns “Core Nutrients Blend”, which is a proprietary blend. Proprietary blends are essentially a secret recipe, and companies aren’t required to disclose the ingredient amounts used in their proprietary blends.

So my point here is that we don’t know how much of certain ingredients are actually in here. For example, we know that shiitake mushrooms have incredible health and medicinal properties…and Grüns includes some organic shiitake mushroom powder in its Core Nutrients Blend. But is it really enough to make a difference in your health? We don’t really know since the amount isn’t listed.

Is Grüns a Multivitamin?

According to the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, multivitamin and mineral supplements contain a variety of vitamins, minerals, and sometimes other ingredients (2).

Based on this definition, yes, the Grüns Daily Gummies are a multivitamin with some extra ingredients such as whole food fruits and veggies, prebiotic fibers, and herbs.

What Do Grüns Gummies Taste Like?

Many people report that they enjoy the taste of Grüns gummies and that they have a sweet and fruity taste. Some even state that they’re kind of like a pack of fruit snacks. Conversely, some people do complain that they melt easily and sometimes clump together or stick to your teeth.

I do take these Grüns gummies too and personally don’t find them to taste as sweet as fruit snacks — at least not the lower sugar option that I usually get. They have a good gummy bear consistency, but the taste does have a hint of “multivitamin” if you know what I mean. That said, I don’t think it’s a bad thing…I’m just not itching to eat more than the daily serving.

Overall, the overall consensus is that most people do enjoy the taste of these gummy vitamins.

Grüns Gummies Side Effects

For most people, the risk of harm from Grüns Daily Gummies is low and most people don’t experience negative side effects.

However, some people report bloating, diarrhea, gas, and other digestive discomforts. This is likely because of the inulin and prebiotic fibers in the supplement. There’s 6 grams of fiber in these gummies, which may be a shock to some peoples’ digestive system – leading to digestive problems. If you have a sensitive stomach, this may resolve as your body adjusts to a higher fiber amount.

Ok, let’s dive into some pros and cons of these gummies.

Pros of Grüns Daily Gummies

  • Third Party Tested. The supplement industry is not regulated like the food industry is. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not regulate or approve of any dietary supplements, their labeling, or health claims. It’s not uncommon to find supplements on the market that don’t actually have what they’re advertising inside their supplements. Thankfully, Grüns Daily Gummies are third party tested for purity and quality.

  • Lots of Nutrients. Each pack of gummies provides a wide range of various nutrients. These can be an easy way to fill in any nutritional gaps you may have.

  • High-Quality Ingredients. The vitamins and minerals used in this gummy are quality forms that are easy for our bodies to absorb. Additionally, I like that it doesn’t use any artificial colors or flavors. There’s also some research-backed nutrients in these gummies that may improve certain health parameters.

  • Convenient. Each serving is already conveniently packaged in a single-serving packet, which makes these easy to take on-the-go or travel with.

  • Vegan. This supplement meets the standards for those following a plant-based or vegan diet.

  • Gummy Form. Many people enjoy that it’s in a tasty gummy bear form that’s easy to take and make part of your daily routine. This is especially appealing for those who struggle with swallowing pills.

Cons of Grüns Daily Gummies

  • Probably Unnecessary. While these may be appealing as a way to boost your health, they’re not necessary to be healthy. A well-balanced diet that contains fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, lean protein sources, and healthy fats should be the main way you get these nutrients into your body.

  • Potentially Inadequate Dosages. Remember how Grüns uses the “Core Nutrient Blend” and doesn’t need to disclose the amounts used in this proprietary blend? Well, this means that we don’t know if the amounts of certain nutrients are enough to actually make a significant health impact, especially for ingredients like the super mushrooms or adaptogens.

  • Gummy Form. Ok, I know this was a pro, but it could be a con depending on the person you’re asking.

  • Sugar Content. If you’re watching your sugar intake, you’ll probably want to steer clear of the low-sugar version, which actually contains 8 grams of added sugar. There is a sugar-free version that uses allulose and onosweet to sweeten the gummies.

  • Cost. Despite the fact that Grüns advertises their product as cost effective, the reality is that it’s going to cost you about $50 per month if you opt into their subscription option. Most of the ingredients in this supplement are available either through food or lower-cost supplements.

Is Grüns Worth It?

Maybe? Maybe not? The answer is going to totally depend on you as an individual and your unique medical needs.

I don’t think you need Grüns Gummies to be healthy, especially if you’re eating a healthy diet that includes fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and legumes.

But, if you’re looking for a product that combines a daily multivitamin, greens powder, and a boost of fiber in your daily diet, these could be an enjoyable way to add them all to your routine.

That said though, given the use of the proprietary blend, it’s unknown if the doses of certain ingredients (such as the super mushrooms and adaptogens) are enough to really improve certain parameters of your health.

Ultimately, if you can afford the price tag, the relative risk of trying a product like this is low…and you may reap some positive benefits.

The Bottom Line

Grüns Daily Gummies are a dietary supplement made by the US-based company Grüns. These gummy vitamins are a convenient way to get a wide range of essential nutrients into your daily routine.

The company claims that these gummy vitamins can fill in nutritional gaps, improve digestive health, focus and cognition, hair, skin, and nail health, and increase immunity, among other things.

The ingredients in Grüns gummies do have research to back up these claims, however, the gummy vitamins use a proprietary blend of ingredients so we don’t know how much of certain nutrients it actually contains. For example, it contains shiitake mushroom powder, which has powerful health benefits – but is the amount used in Grüns gummies considered an effective dose to really make a difference in your health? Unknown.

Ultimately, you don’t need Grüns Gummies to be healthy. But if you’re looking for a multivitamin, greens powder, and fiber-boost combination and can afford the price tag, the relative risk of trying a product like this is low…and you may probably reap some positive health benefits.

  1. Guess I’m one of those people that the gummies affect. I have had diarrhea for a few days now on these. I was hoping if I just keep taking them than the diarrhea would pass (no pun intended). Not sure if that’s the case and not 100% sure they are totally responsible for this clean out but they are the only thing I’ve been taking to try them out. My adult son is also taking them and he hasn’t complained about side effects so guess he’s good.

    1. Also have this side effect, my diet is very deficient as I find it difficult to eat enough nutrient rich foods, so I went for this… but the first pack kept me near the restroom for a few days then I had to travel and was nervous to take them. So now I’ve been easing in taking just one or two a day, we will see how that goes…

  2. Great review. I’m trying it moreso for the greens powder aspect, since I haven’t been able to find an actual greens powder I can tolerate in drink form.

Do you think greens powders in general have enough nutritional benefit to be worth it?

    1. Hi Jaime, greens powders are one of those things where we don’t really know entirely because they’re usually in a proprietary blend. My viewpoint is that for most people, the risk is very low and you may see some benefits. If you can afford it, it could be worth the shot…but if it’s becoming too expensive, I’d definitely put your money into other avenues of health that we know have benefits, such as high fiber foods, a quality multivitamin, or quality protein powder (all depending on your unique needs).

  3. Thank you for this review…the website does not have enough information to make an informed decision. I am currently taking a powder subscription and I am seriously considering changing due to the gritty taste. I have definitely seen the benefits of what I take daily and I don’t want to switch to something that doesn’t give me as good a result. You have given me enough information to feel comfortable enough to switch. Thanks!

    1. I’m glad it was helpful, Maryanne! These gummies will definitely help you side step the gritty taste of traditional greens powders!

    1. If you’re looking for a multivitamin and/or a greens powder, I do think Gruns is a very good choice. I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary though for most people to be healthy though — a well balanced diet and healthy lifestyle will always be important foundations for health.

  4. This was a great review. Curious if you think it’s ok if teen boys take the adult version also? Hoping to share the subscription. Thanks!

    1. Thank you, Robin! It’s likely fine for your average, healthy teen boy — I’d just run it by their pediatrician first though!

  5. I take Armra Colostrum already and decided to try these as well. I have been burping rotten egg ever since starting the Gruns. I’m wondering if they are fighting each other?
    Thanks!
    Brenda Griffin

    1. Hi Brenda, it sounds like you may be experiencing sulfur burps. There’s a few reasons this could be happening — I’d recommend consulting with your doctor. Thanks, Alyssa

    2. Armra did that to me terribly. I could not take it. It made me so ill with the sulfur burps and overall extreme nausea. Interesting that you didn’t notice it til you started taking the Gruns though. One more issue that may affect Armra is if you are taking semaglutide or like products your digestion slows so something like cows colostrum just sitting in your stomach could absolutely give that putrid taste, burps etc… when not digested quickly. Basically rotten milk! I’m almost gagging just thinking about how bad Armra was for me lol

  6. I was excited to take these to supplement my diet but have had abdominal pain and bloating since. Guess I won’t but hate the loss of money that was spent.

    1. Hi Cindy, the prebiotics in these gummies can definitely be aggressive for some peoples’ digestive tracts! Sometimes eating less than the serving size and building up to the serving size can help…but sometimes, some bodies just cannot tolerate at all.

  7. I’m taking semiglutide and was looking for a good nutritional supplement and came across these gruns gummies. However, they’re $65 for a 30 day supply. Is there another similar product that is not as pricey?

    1. Hi Denise, I’m not aware of any products that are similar to this one (which combines essentially a multivitamin and a greens powder) for a lower price. Your healthcare provider may be able to direct you to a good option for you.

  8. I am experiencing some of the gastrointestinal side effects, is there a chance I’ll adapt over time? Could I split the dose into an all day thing instead of taking them all at once?

    1. It may subside over time as your body gets used to it. Spreading the dose out may also be helpful to decrease digestive discomfort too.

  9. This was super informative for someone who has been taking these gummies for the last month, and suffering from daily, non-stop intestinal issues since the start. Now I know why! Whatever benefits these provide aren’t worth the digestive nightmare I’ve been experiencing. Thank you so much for this thorough & honest review. We need more people like you!

  10. Seems I am having the opposite problem … I think they are the cause of binding me up… I will give them a go a while longer, but if it does not clear up, I will probably not get it anymore

  11. Thanks for this. Realizing getting vitamins and nutrients from food is best, what is a basic vitamin that can be taken to fill in the gaps? I do not eat animals or fish and don’t like the taste of some very nutrient dense vegetables. Thank you.

    1. Hi Dana, it would definitely depend on your needs (ex: iron needs for pre- vs postmenopausal, labs, health history, etc). The Gruns gummies may be a good option if you want a basic multivitamin plus greens powder. If you want just a standard multivitamin, I tend to gravitate towards Essentia for Women or Thorne Basics depending on the person.

  12. I am 73 & am wondering about the iron in Gruns. I have been told that you shouldn’t take iron if you are post menopausal. Will the iron hurt me ? Thank you.

    1. Hi Chelle, after menopause, your iron needs decrease to 8mg per day. A serving of Gruns Gummies only contain 4.5 mg of iron, so roughly half of the recommended iron needs per day. Hope this helps!

  13. I have been on these for 5 weeks and I have noticed the last week about 2 hours after I take the gummies I am very tired. I take them around 9am and it is 6:45 in the evening and I am still tired/groggy.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

  14. Thank you for the review, it was unbiased and helpful. What alternatives to Gruns would you recommend? I have had Gastric Sleeve surgery, so any vitamin that helps me with essential nutrients is a must.
    Thank you,
    Jayme

    1. Hi Jayme – thank you for your kind words! After gastric sleeve surgery, there are usually recommended vitamins – your surgeon or registered dietitian should be able to guide you a bit more!

  15. I have been taking Gruns gummies for almost three months. Acknowledging the fact that their ingredient list could be more transparent, I have been noticing a positive difference for about a month. I work nights, and I am feeling less tired during the day. My hair looks and feels healthier and I even received a compliment on my “nice hair” from a stranger. It is easy to throw a pack or two in my purse when I am running out the door, so I am more consistent using Gruns than green powders or vitamins. On hectic or stressful days when I don’t eat well, I know Gruns has got my back.

    1. I love that you’ve having such an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing, Lisa.

  16. I’be been taking them for close to 2 months now & I feel like a new person. I instantly felt a lot of the effects after just a couple of days. Skin issues started clearing up within about a month. Digestion definitely started improving within a couple of weeks.

They’re pricey but after the first shipment, they offer you another discount by ordering 3 months supply at a time. After shipping it doesn’t feel like much of a discount by the price comes second to all of the benefits. Not sure why I decided to visit the site one day after seeing the commercials a million times on Youtube, but I’m glad I gave it a shot as I’ve always assumed that I had issues that result from gaps in my nutrition. Now I’m tempted to try their other gummies (Nutrops) which are just different mushrooms.

  17. Very glad to have found this. I’m working with an RD through a telehealth service and will share the info. Using GLP-1 and am always refining my nutrition plan as I continue this healing health journey.

  18. Very thorough review!
I was looking this up on reddit and saw that one person commented on extreme gas reaction. Which made me think that I experienced something like that last night – like whoa, what is going on here?!
As a dietician, have you observed an adjustment curve for prebiotics or the sugar-free ingredients (allulose and OnoSweet -a fermented solution derived from the sugarcane plant ) that could shed some hope on this reaction possibly being short-term? I eat mostly vegan and like the idea of supplementing this way, especially for my kid who’s been enjoying them so far. Sugar-free is important for us, to avoid sugar getting stuck to/in our teeth. I asked gruns customer service about gas and they just recommended experimenting taking them with meals or water or at different times of the day. I’m hoping for a more scientific response.

    1. Hi Stephanie! Yes, there can certainly be a short-term adjustment period for some people. There’s 6 grams of fiber in one serving, which is a good chunk of fiber for many people – if this is what’s aggravating your digestive system, you could try spacing out the Gruns serving size throughout the day. The type of fiber though is sometimes not tolerated well though by some people – inulin for example. If you’re sensitive, the digestive issues may not resolve but you may need to give it time to figure that out. The sweeteners can sometimes also cause digestive issues for some people too — some peoples’ bodies adjust, while some do not.
