Are the OvaFit supplements for PCOS really as incredible as they appear to be?
As a registered dietitian who has PCOS, I’m going to break down what’s in these supplements, what the research says, the pros and cons of this brand, and my honest OvaFit review of their PCOS supplements.

What is Ovafit?
OvaFit is a US-based company that sells dietary supplements that are specifically designed for women with PCOS.
The OvaFit website offers supplements that are geared towards helping different PCOS symptoms. The products offered are:
- Ovasitol
- Berberine Advanced
- Testosterone Relief Tea
- MetaMulti (a PCOS multivitamin)
- Purely Prenatal (a preconception supplement)
- Metabolism Plus (a bundle of 4 different supplements)
Let’s do a quick overview of each of these supplements.
OvaFit Metabolism Plus
Metabolism Plus by OvaFit is a bundle of 4 different supplements designed to fill nutritional gaps to support your metabolic hormones. It’s marketed towards those seeking PCOS weight loss and to improve their metabolism.
The 4 supplements within the Metabolism Plus bundle are:
- Coenzyme Q10 (aka CoQ10)
- Omega 3
- MetaMulti (their PCOS Multivitamin)
- Curcumin
Here’s a closer look at each supplement within this bundle.
CoQ10
Metabolism Plus contains a CoQ10 supplement. Specifically, it contains 125 mg coenzyme Q10 plus 6.7 mg vitamin E in one soft gel.
CoQ10 is a vital nutrient for PCOS. It can promote healthy egg quality, insulin levels, inflammation, testosterone levels, DHEA-S levels, and hirsutism. CoQ10 is also particularly helpful for those who are taking statins, a type of prescription for high cholesterol levels.
Omega 3
Metabolism Plus also contains an omega 3 fatty acids supplement, which is a type of polyunsaturated fat. Research continues to find that omega 3’s have strong anti-inflammatory effects and positively impact hormone levels like insulin, LH, SHBG, and testosterone levels. It may also improve mood disorders, heart health, and fertility rates.
The Metabolism Plus Omega 3 supplement contains 1000 mg of fish oil and provides a good amount of EPA and DHA. A recent analytical review recommended that if you’re going to supplement with fish oil supplements for PCOS, you should be using a supplement that has an EPA & DHA combination of at least 500 mg, which this supplement has (1).

MetaMulti
Metabolism Plus contains a PCOS multivitamin called MetaMulti that provides essential nutrients. We all know that vitamins and minerals are healthy for us but most of us don’t have perfect diets that get us the right amount of every nutrient. That’s where multivitamins can be beneficial – for helping to fill in nutrient gaps.
MetaMulti is a good quality multivitamin that uses high quality ingredients along with good nutrient forms and amounts. It’s also available to purchase separately without buying the entire Metabolism Plus bundle.
Curcumin
The final supplement in the Metabolism Plus bundle is curcumin. Curcumin is a substance derived from turmeric that has gained popularity as a dietary supplement.
Although turmeric has been long-touted for its anti-inflammatory properties, recent studies have found that curcumin may help with more than just inflammation.
For PCOS, curcumin may help to lower insulin resistance, glucose levels, cholesterol, testosterone levels and inflammation (2, 3). Curcumin can also assist in weight loss efforts too.
I do like the curcumin supplement in Metabolism Plus. It’s a highly bioavailable version of curcumin, so it’s at a lower dose than some other curcumin supplements since you’ll absorb significantly more.
OvaFit Testosterone Relief Tea
The testosterone relief tea is a popular choice on the OvaFit website. It’s a custom tea blend of spearmint, lemon balm, orange peel, chamomile, rosehip, peppermint, cinnamon, nettle, lavender, and calendula.
This plastic-free tea bag is marketed for its ability to lower testosterone levels. There is some pretty impressive research on the ability of spearmint tea to lower androgen levels and hirsutism, aka that pesky unwanted hair growth.
For most people, there’s little risk to trying this type of tea to see if it helps your symptoms. If you enjoy sipping on a cup of tea regularly and want one that may benefit your PCOS symptoms, I’d recommend either spearmint tea or a spearmint tea blend like this one.

Ovasitol
I have zero bad things to say about Ovasitol, which is a name brand inositol supplement. Inositol is the most well studied supplement for PCOS.
Based on research studies, we know that inositol can help to:
- Lower blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity
- Reduce body weight
- Decrease cholesterol levels
- Reduce carb cravings
- Improve thyroid hormone function
- Lower testosterone levels
- Regulate your menstrual cycle
- Improve egg quality
- Improve IVF outcomes
- Decrease gestational diabetes risk

I like Ovasitol specifically because it’s a pure inositol powder that uses a combination of myo-inositol and d-chiro inositol. It combines these inositol types in the same ratio as what’s in our body’s tissues and it provides them at a higher therapeutic dose compared to most other supplements.
Ovasitol is a tasteless powder and is safe for long-term use and can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, making it an excellent choice for many people with PCOS.
You can read more about my full review of Ovasitol here.
Berberine Advanced
OvaFit now carries Berberine Advanced, which is a concentrated and more bioavailable form of berberine. You may have heard of berberine being referred to as “Nature’s Ozempic”.
Berberine is another popular PCOS supplement that has some solid research to support it. It can be helpful for lowering insulin resistance, androgen levels, inflammation, and cholesterol levels. It also may be a good option for those struggling with weight gain since it can lower body weight and BMI.
Overall, the OvaFit Berberine Advanced supplement is a good quality option. While I do like berberine, I tend to recommend it cautiously since there isn’t established long-term safety data. It appears to be safe to take for up to 6 months, but beyond that isn’t fully understood yet. It’s also not safe for pregnancy or breastfeeding so it’s typically not my first choice if someone is thinking about trying to conceive in the near future.

Purely Prenatal
OvaFit carries a preconception supplement called Purely Prenatal. It’s a combination of two different supplements: a preconception multivitamin and CoQ10.
The preconception multivitamin contains a variety of nutrients that can improve egg quality and may help regulate menstrual cycles. It’s essentially a regular multivitamin that has more of the good stuff that’s needed for fertility, such as vitamin D, folate, iron, and choline.
The coenzyme Q10 is a separate supplement that provides CoQ10 and vitamin E. It’s actually the same CoQ10 supplement blend that’s in the Metabolism Plus bundle – you just take 2 softgels to double the dose.
This is a great option for those who are trying to conceive. It contains a good amount of various nutrients that can improve egg quality and get your body ready to support a healthy pregnancy. If you are already pregnant though, I usually recommend different prenatal supplements.

OvaFit Pros
These are some of the key positives of OvaFit as a whole:
- Third Party Tested. The supplement industry isn’t regulated like food and drugs are. The FDA does not regulate or approve of any dietary supplements, their labeling, or health claims. It’s not uncommon to find supplements on the market that have undisclosed ingredients compared to what they’re advertising. Thankfully, all of OvaFit dietary supplements are third party tested by the reputable NSF.
- Well Researched Nutrients. These supplements use nutrients that actually have solid research to support their use for various PCOS symptoms and goals.
- High-Quality Ingredients + Amounts. The OvaFit supplements utilize forms of vitamins and minerals in their supplements that are easily absorbed and typically well tolerated. Additionally, the dosages of these supplements are therapeutic based on research studies.
- Shipping. OvaFit ships to both the United States and Canada. While it advertises worldwide shipping, it’s actually only to the US or Canada. If you reside in a different country, it provides instructions on how to use a third party shipping party called Stackry.

OvaFit Cons
On the other hand, here’s a few of the cons of OvaFit:
- Potentially Unnecessary. While you can purchase some of their supplements individually, some valuable supplements are bundled together. If you don’t need all of the supplements in a bundle, you may be spending money on some supplements unnecessarily.
- Cost. While the ingredients, nutrient forms, and doses used in these supplements are great, the cost of these supplements may be a barrier for some people. Check below for lower cost alternatives.
My OvaFit Review: Is It Worth It?
Maybe. Maybe not. Whether or not any of the OvaFit dietary supplements are a good choice for you will depend on your unique nutritional needs, PCOS symptoms and goals.
The question isn’t whether these are quality supplements, because they are. The question is more as to whether the supplement meets your needs.
In my opinion, their bundle of 4 different supplements (Metabolism Plus) may be overkill. It’s sold as a set but what if you don’t need all 4 of those supplements to see an improvement in your PCOS symptoms?
For most people, I’d hardly ever recommend adding 4 new supplements at one time. When you add 4 at once, you don’t know which one (or ones) are actually providing the benefit if you do see improvements. Was it all 4 of those supplements? Or was one supplement really the one giving you results and the other 3 were just a waste of money?
Instead, I recommend trialing one supplement for at least 3 months to determine if it’s a good fit for you. If you see some improvement but need some more help, you could add another supplement (after speaking with your healthcare provider, of course!).
Alternatives to OvaFit PCOS Supplements
Ovafit appears to be offering supplements that look identical in formulation to Theralogix products, but at a higher price point.
Theralogix is the brand that makes the popular inositol supplement Ovasitol. They also carry other dietary supplements too – and you can find an identical formula to all but one of OvaFit’s products.
Here’s how OvaFit and Theralogix compare:
| OvaFit Supplement + Cost (in US Dollars) | Theralogix Equivalent Supplement + Cost (in US Dollars) |
|---|---|
| Purely Prenatal: $169 | Theranatal Ovavite: $124 |
| MegaMulti: $89.95 | Essentia Multivitamin: $25.26 |
| Berberine Advanced: $79.95 | Berberine Enhanced Absorption: $65.26 |
| Ovasitol: $73.68 | Ovasitol: $73.68 |
| Metabolism Plus: $234 | Essentia, NeoQ10, TherOmega, + Curcusorb: $177.88 |

If you’re considering taking Ovasitol in addition to either berberine or curcumin, there are discounted bundles available on the Theralogix website that save you 10% off:
When ordering from the Theralogix website, you can use any of the links above or enter PRC 202702 at checkout for a discount. If you’re in Canada, you can use code ALYSSA on the Theralogix.ca website for a discount.
Both OvaFit and Theralogix offer free US shipping for orders over $100. Alternatively, you can also get free shipping through Theralogix if you opt-in to their subscribe + save program which automatically sends you supplement refills.
Also, if you’ve tried Ovasitol and haven’t seen benefits, you may be inositol resistant. Be sure to check out this post on inositol resistance and a potential solution: Ovasitol vs Ovasitol Plus for PCOS: Which to Choose?
Testosterone Relief Tea Alternative
As far as the Testosterone Relief Tea goes, I do like the tea blend it uses. It’s a mix of spearmint tea and various others such as lemon balm, orange peel, lavender, etc. It’s a proprietary blend though, meaning we don’t know exactly how much of each ingredient is actually in there. Since spearmint is listed as the first ingredient in the blend, I’m inclined to believe that it’s mostly spearmint tea leaves – which is what the research really supports: two cups of spearmint tea per day to lower androgen levels and hirsutism.
The price of the Testosterone Relief Tea seems steep to me: $30 for 30 tea bags. If you were to use one tea bag per cup of tea, and drink the recommended 2 cups of tea per day, you’d be spending $60 per month on tea. In my opinion, you could trial just spearmint tea at a much more affordable price and likely see pretty good results if you’re going to respond well to this intervention. For spearmint tea, I like this brand and this brand.
OvaFit Review: The Bottom Line
OvaFit is a US-based company that sells dietary supplements geared towards women with PCOS and the various symptoms they may experience.
They sell Ovasitol, berberine, testosterone relief tea, Purely Prenatal (a preconception supplement), MegaMulti (a PCOS multivitamin), and Metabolism Plus, which is a bundle of 4 different supplements: MegaMulti, curcumin, omega 3 fatty acids, and CoQ10.
The supplements available through OvaFit are good quality supplements that utilize good nutrient forms at dosages that are evidence-based. All of their supplements undergo third party testing through NSF.
Aside from the testosterone relief tea, OvaFit’s supplements appear identical in formulation to the more cost-effective Theralogix brand. See the section above for how the two companies compare, which products are equivalents, and the cost comparison.
